GENERAL
INFORMATION
In the XII and XIII centuries
the “Domaine of Bachac” was under the command
of the Knight Templar until they were eradicated. The
area was a hunting ground for wild boar and deer and Henri
IV of FRANCE stayed at Château de Bachac in 1565
whilst taking part in a hunting trip. A plaque in the
local chapel commemorates his visit.
There are many activities and places of historical interest
nearby and the property is conveniently located for exploring
the country side of the Lot et Garonne as welle as the
Dordogne. Of course, the famous wine region of Bordeaux.

and restaurant.
Mas-d’Agenais, 17kms W - Pitoresque Roman
town, market on Thursday morning.
Marmande, 20 kms N - All ameneties; large market
on Saturday morning, airport, autoroute.
Duras, 42 kms N - Beautiful château; market
on Monday morning, vineyards.
Nérac, 30 kms SE - Beautiful town with King
